From its founding in 1955 through periods of resilience, expansion, and modernization,Château de la Nauve has steadily evolved through replanting, structural upgrades, and technical refinement, shaping a balanced and enduring Grand Cru estate.
1955
Origins of the Estate
Michel Veyry acquired 4 hectares of family-owned land in Saint-Laurent-des-Combes, marking the foundation of Château de la Nauve.
1956
Reconstruction and Resilience
A severe frost destroyed nearly 75% of the vineyard, leading to a large-scale replanting program andshaping the estate’s enduring values of resilience and long-term commitment.
1960–1975
Expansion and Foundations
Following replanting, the estate expanded and strengthened its foundations, establishing a steady pathof growth and continuity.
Post-1975
Structural Modernisation
Through continuous investment and technical upgrades, Château de la Nauve modernised its facilitiesand vineyard practices, evolving toward a balanced model focused on quality and efficiency.
2022-Today
New Winemaking Team
Following the acquisition by the new owner Vignobles Z,the estate reduced its yields and adopted a more refined approach to winemaking,emphasizing low production and meticulous craftsmanship.
To support this new chapter,a dedicated winemaking team was formed,bringing together two renowned professionals:Sébastien Xans and Hervé Leferrer.
